A comparison that highlights the benefits of clear aligners versus metal braces.

what exactly is invisalign?

Invisalign is a brand of clear aligners that are custom-made for you using patented 3-D computer imaging and printing technology. The average case has about 18-30 "sets" of aligners (upper and lower trays) that are to be worn for 22 hours per day and changed every 1-2 weeks. Each set of trays has a built in correction meant to gradually move and correct your teeth and bite over the course of the aligner series. With faithful aligner wear, you can expect results equal to those obtained with metal braces.

how will my treatment progress?

To get started, Dr. Farjo uses a 3-D digital scanner to capture the unique morphology and alignment of your teeth. This scan is used to make a digital model of your teeth. Dr. Farjo creates a custom treatment plan for you, the Invisalign uses their patented materials and processing technology to manufacture the aligners that will straighten your teeth. You will take home 3-6 sets of aligners at a time and see Dr. Farjo for progress checks every 6-12 weeks.
